EPISODE #1: Coming to America. 9 to Start.

This is the journey of the French coming to US to start his culinary school here. Start with 15 finalist trying out & only 9 make it. He brought his pregnant girlfriend & his executive chef with him.
PERSONAL ASSIST IN US: Joel. They stayed at the Lowes Hotel until Joel found them a place for his school.
EXECUTIVE CHEF: Steven Kitchen.
NEXT DAY: Joel showed them what he found. Then he got down to meeting with is finalist by testing them on how to cook an omlette.

WEEK 1: Open the School. The 9 students arrived. Chef Novelli showed his signature dish - Carmel Basket. Then he asked them to make their Signature dish. Then he evualated them
RESULTS:
WORST: Kup, Leo, Carissa.
PASSING: Sarah, kyle, Zoe.
BEST DISH: Suzanne.
EPISODE #2: Better Sweet.
WEEK #2: Novelli Academy. is open.
- Chef Novelli is teaching the cooks dessert, while Emmaneull is late. Chef then head the cooks their chef jacket except Emmanuel. He had a told with him then give him his jacket. If the chefs failed 3x then they DO NOT graduated.
- LESSON: Dessert #1: Apple Souffle,
Dessert #2: Orange Crem Brule
NEXT DAY: Tracie suggested they go to the Best Farmer's Market. She take them to the market. Again, Emmanuel missed the van back to the academy.
- LESSON: Dessert #3: Chocolate Pots.
NEXT DAY: Test Day. Plus Inviting the public & Media to know the scool.
TEST - Must recreate the Chocolate Pots in 1/2 hr. Some thought they knew better & made their own recipe. PASS: Leo, Suzanne, Zoe & Emmanue. FAILED: Carissa, Kup, Tracie Kyle & Sarah.
EPISODE #3: Basic Training.
START OFF: In the Upper Residence - Chef Novelli trying to make a juice smoothie bujt the machine isn't working,
NOW DOWN AT THE ACADEMY; The Studenta arrived & Chef Novellie need to teach the basics. since most of the students failed the first task. He teached them:
RECIPE #1: Tomato Sauce.
- Emmanuel injury himself, again.
- Suzanne hired a private taylor to fix her chef jacket & she arrived during the class & Chef got upet with her & kicked her out for the day.
RECIPE #2: Risotto.
End of Day.
NEXT DAY: Lab Day - Practice Day for the next Test.
NEXT DAY: Test Day. Bring your Best Outfit for a Party, later.
- Starting in intervals 15 minutes apart & 45 minutes to cook. Cooking Risotto & Tomato Sauce.
RESULTS:
- Called Up Kup & Zoe First - he gave them a scare attack - but then told they Passed.
- Then called up Kyle - he also, Passed.
- The rest he told to go home for weekend & he will give the results on Monday. Suzanne, Sarah, Carissa, Tracie, Leo & Emmanuel.
- The 3 Passer are taken to the party: Eco Party in Malibu, Ca.
EPISODE #4: A Bun in the Oven.
START OFF: At the Academy.
- The students are waiting for results of the test they took last week.
- Kup, Kyle, Sarah, Tracie, Carissa, Suzanne & Emmanuel have all Failed. Their names will have a dot for each failed.
- Chef Novelli sat a new rule: No Smoking. It ruins their taste buds.
WEEK LESSON: Baking - Bread. - Making the Dough.
Baking Recipe #1 - Basic Bread.
Bread Recipe #2: Choux Pastry - Croque-en-bouche.
Practice Bread Dough Making & Pastry Work.
- Tracie called a hypnotist, Dr. Irwin help to stop smoking.
Then the school gave Michelle a baby shower.
NEXT DAY: Test Day.
- if they passed making bread, then they get a chance to make Croque-en-bouche.
- Those making: Kyle, Tracie, Carissa, Kup, Emmanuel & Leo.
- Now they have cross the street carrying the croque-en -bouche,
- HEAD OF CLASS: Tracie.
EPISODE #5: Naked Lunch.
START OFF: Week #5.
- Sarah is trying to convince the Chef to take the test again, which he wouldn't. She claim she didn't understand the directions. He thought it would not be fair to the other students. She need the attention.
TEST RESULTS OF WEEK 4:
- PASSED: Tracie, Leo, Carissa, Kup, Kyle & Emmanuel.
- FAILED: Suzanne Sarah & Zoe.
WEEK 5 -LESSONS - VEGETARIAN

NOW PRACTICE SESSION.
A MICHELIN DINNER: for Tracie being Head of Class. Chef will cook for her 2 of invivted guests up stairs. Tracie picks Leo & Kyle & Suzanne.
NEXT DAY: Field Trip to a Local Farm, Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, CA. so the cooks can learn how to pick their own produce.
- that evening is the Michelin Dinner. Chef asked Emmanuel to comes as Chippendale for Tracie as the dessert.
NEXT DAY: Test Day, - Working as teams: Suzanne, Sarah & Leo,
- Tracie, Emmanuel & Zoe and Carissa, Kup & Kyle.
- 3 Dishes per team: Pea Soup, Piperade Baked Aubergine and Potato Gratin.
- 4 of 9 cooks passed. Sarah, Zoe, Suzanne & Kyle. Since 2 of Leo teamamte passed he passed, too,
- Tracie & Emmanuel, Zoe failed.
- Chef Novelli deicided to give them another chance: Maripan Flower in 15 minutes but the losing team must pick only one person to do it.
- Emmanue will do it for Tracie & Zoe.
- Kyle will do it for Carissa & Kup.
- BUT Suzanne, Sarah & Leo will make the final decision. They voted on Kyle making Kyle team passed.
EPISODE #6: Squid Pro Quo.
START OFF: Week #6.
The students entered the Academy.
RESULTS FOR FAR: Pass/Fail
- PASS: Suzunne with 2 Dots,
Sarah with 2 Dots,
Leo with No Dots,
Carissa with 1 Dot,
Kup with 1 Dot,
Kyle with 1 Dot.
- FIALED: Tracie & Zoe both with 2 Dots.
Emmanuel with 1 dot.
TODAY: Field Trip - Going Fishing.
ARRIVED AT: Long Beach, CALIFORNIA.
- Again, Sarah need to play the drama queen. She is having a panic attactic about getting on the boat. While, Suzanne is having a medic problem about the boat. Suzanne is sent back to the academy to help with cleaning some squids. Now, the rest of the class with Sarah goes fishing.
FIRST LESSON: while on the boat - Cleaning the fish.
SEAFOOD RECIPE #1: Sea Bass Casserole.
NEXT DAY: Suzanne arrived to talk to Steven. She is allergic to squid & made a big deal of it in front the class.
RECIPE #2: Scappolds.
- Then the Dr. arrived to treat Suzanne.
RECIPE #3: Baby Squids & Prawns Brochette.
NEXT DAY: The Class arrives & think it is a Lab Day BUT Chef informed them it is a Test Day 'cause the next day is charity lucheon for Joel. The test will be divided into 3 groups.
- GROUP #1: Squid - Kyle, Emmanuel & Kup.
Chef Du Jour - Emmanuel.
- GROUP #2: Sea Bass - Tracie, Leo & Zoe.
Chef Du Jour - Tracie.
- GROUP #3: Scallop - Suzanne, Sarah & Carissa.
Chef Du Jour - Kup (cause all 3 dikshes were that good).
RESULTS OF TEST: The Chef Du Jour were given a letter & told not to read until after class.
- All 3 Chef Du Jour passed.
- Also, Passed - Zoe, Leo & kyle.
- FAILED: Carissa, Suzanne & Sarah. Giving Suzanne & Sarah 3 Dots & out of the academy.
- Then Kup came in & read the letter - There will be No Dots or Failed this test. Noone leaving academy.
NEXT DAY: The Charity Event for Joel in honir of his mother passed away from Breast Cancer.
EPISODE #7: Meet Your Maker.
START OFF: Week 7.
- Head of Class: Kup.
THIS WEEK LESSON: Meat.
- Recipe 1: Braised Pork Belly,
- Recipe 2: Chocolate Chicken,
- Recipe 3: Filet Mich, Mich - named after his girlfriend, Michelle,
Later that evening after the class: Kup & Carissa went to go get Tattoos.
NEXT DAY: More Lessons.
- Recipe 4: Lamb Souffle.
The test will be a group of 3 people will do the same dish & another dish will be random select from the past.
NEXT DAY: Practice Session. or Lab Day.
NEXT DAY: Test Day.
- CHICKEN - Suzanne, Zoe & Tracie.
- LAMB: Kup, Carissa & Emmanuel.
- BEEF: Sarah, Kyle & Leo.
RESULTS OF FIRST TEST:
- Everyone Passed except Leo.
NOW TEST 2: Picking from a Pot to see what they are doing:
- Zoe - Risotto, Sarah - Choux Pastry w/Cream Pot, Emmanuel - Pea Soup, Tracie - Parmesan Basket, Kyle - Orange Creme Brulee, Carissa - Bread, Kup - Scallops, Leo - Baked Apple Souffle and Suzanne - Sea Bass ( she worried 'cause the only she DID NOT practice).
EPISODE #8: Too Many Cooks.
START OFF: Continue with the Test 2.
- Sarah is having a fit 'cause she claims she misunderstood the chef.
- Suzanne didn't clean her fish. She left a gut in it.
RESULTS:
- Everybody passed except for Suzanne whom was dismissed from the school.
NEXT DAY: Week #8.
- Must find a Chef de Cuisine for the Gala Dinner. He called all the chefs individually upstair & quested them. The Final Exam is the Gala Dinner.
NEXT DAY: Chef Novelli must pick his chef de cuisine.
TOP 3: Carissa, Tracie & Kup.
Head Chef: Tracie.
Now 30 minutes to plan the menu.: 2 Starters, 2 Fishes, 2 Main Courses, & 2 Sweets.
Menu Planning Session: Kyle & Zoe started figthing over the pork belly cooking.
GALA PREP.
EPISODE #9: The Last Supper.
START OFF: 4 Course Gala Dinner.
Tracie is Head Chef.
- Tracie came in early & went over the dinner with Chef. Then went downstairs & spoke with the cooks & assisnged their dishes.
- Bread - Carissa, Emmanuel - The Pea Soup, ParmesanBasket - Leo, The Pork Belly - Kyle, Sea Bass - Zoe, Squid - Emmanuel, Steaks - Kyle, Scallops - Kup, The Lamb - Carissa with Kup helping, The Orange Souffle - Sarah and The Chocolate Pot - Leo.
- Then Chef surprised and ivivited Suzane back to host the Event which is in field. & she was happy about.
He also, supervisered the pass with Tracie.
